EUR PLASMAScience is launching the second edition of the EUR PLASMAScience Summer School dedicated to “plasmas for society” that will be held in the island of Porquerolles, France, on June 22-28th, 2025.
The School is a one-week training program for highly-motivated Ph.D students, post-docs and early career scientists interested in low-temperature plasmas and their applications. Participants need only to pay for their own travel to and from Porquerolles, otherwise the school is free of charge, and all expenses (accommodation, meals, excursion, etc.) are covered by the EUR PLASMAScience program.
In particular, the Summer School should emphasize “plasmas for society”, encompassing real-world applications such as medicine, agriculture, renewable energy, gas conversion, materials, water treatment, nanotechnology, propulsion, fusion, light sources, etc. In addition, fundamental aspects of plasma science such as experimental techniques and modeling relevant to these applications will complement the program. Please consult https://plasmascience.fr/ to find the latest information on invited lecturers and course topics.
The program will consist of a series of lectures given by world-leading scientists in low-temperature plasma science and applications, dedicated to the above subjects, accompanied by daily brainstorming workshops or breakout sessions for students to apply what they learned to case studies of possible applications, which they would then present to everyone.
The registration is open until April 15, 2025: Registration
